Workers’ Compensation / Property and Casualty Insurance Coverage


Gulf County is seeking vendors/firms interested in providing workers’ compensation / property & casualty insurance for the Gulf County Board of County Commissioners. Vendors/firms properly registered in the State of Florida are encouraged to submit their proposal for consideration. All submittals (see Section IV, Submission Requirements) received in response to this RFP will be reviewed by the County Administration and the County Insurance Committee.

RFP DEADLINE: Submitted on or before Friday, July 16, 2021 no later than 4:00 PM, ET to the Gulf County Clerk of Court at 1000 Cecil G. Costin, Sr., Blvd., Room 149, Port St. Joe, Florida 32456 and will be opened at this same location on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM, E.T. and then submitted to and evaluated by Gulf County Administration and Insurance Committee and subsequent recommendations provided to the Gulf County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 for approval and acceptance.

This solicitation does not commit Gulf County to award any contracts, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a response to this RFP, or to contract for any services. The County reserves the right to reject any or all submittals received as a result of this solicitation, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this RFP, if it is in the best interest of the County to do so.

Late proposals received after the aforementioned deadline date, either by mail or otherwise will not be considered and returned unopened. The time of receipt will be determined by the time received in the clerk’s office. Proposals offered are the sole responsibility of the vendor for assuring that proposals are received in the clerk’s office by the designated date and time. No faxed, electronic, or oral proposals will be accepted.

Proposal submissions must submit in a sealed envelope or package, clearly marked with the Vendor’s name, address with the name of the proposer, and the RFP number and title “GULF COUNTY WORKERS’ COMPENSATION / PROPERTY AND CASAULTY INSURANCE COVERAGE” so as to identify the enclosed proposal. Each submittal shall include one (1) original and two (2) copies of the proposal. Proposals received later than the date and time as specified will be rejected. The Board will not be responsible for the late deliveries of proposals that are incorrectly addressed, delivered in person, by mail or any other type of delivery service.

The County reserves the right to waive minor irregularities, to reject any or all proposals received, and to otherwise make a decision in the best interests of the County. The Board shall have the final decision-making authority concerning any final award to a vendor entered into by the County. The County may also request additional information from Vendor that may be necessary to fully evaluate a proposal. The proposals will be evaluated and then submitted with recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners. If only one proposal is received, the County may negotiate in good faith.

All proposals that are timely received shall become the property of the County and any costs or expenses incurred in relation to preparation and submission of proposals shall be borne by the proposer. Such proposals and related information shall be subject to the applicable provisions of the Florida Public Records Act.

GULF COUNTY PUBLIC PARK – BEACON HILL-VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK CAMPGROUND OPERATIONS, DEVELOPMENT & ADMINISTRATION

 The Gulf County Board of County Commissioners, Gulf County, Florida (the “County”) is seeking solicitations and proposals from professional campground management and operations firms and/or individuals to administer, operate, further develop and manage the Gulf County Public Park and Facilities at the Beacon Hill Veterans Park Memorial Campground.

RFQDEADLINE: Submitted on or before Thursday, June 17, 2021 no later than 12:00 PM (Eastern) to the Gulf County Clerk of Court at 1000 Cecil G. Costin, Sr., Blvd., Room 149, Port St. Joe, Florida 32456 and will be opened at the same location on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., E.T. RFQ’s to be evaluated by Gulf County Administration thereafter and recommendations provided to the Gulf County Board of Commissioners at a noticed public meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 9:00 a.m., E.T. for any and all authorizations, approval and direction.

EASTERN SHIPBUILDING CONCRETE SLAB

The project includes the construction of an approximately 1,320 SY, 6” thick concrete slab with an 18” perimeter footer located at the Eastern Shipbuilding Yard located at 432 Howard Road in Port St. Joe, FL.

Completion date for this project will be 30 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be $500.00 per day.
