Gulf County operates two transfer stations for household and construction waste drop-off, and sets rules for trash can pickup.
Trash can pickup rules
Your trash can has a set-out and storage window. Following it keeps county roads clean and avoids fines.
Put your trash can out no earlier than 6:00 PM the day before pickup
Bring your trash can back in by 8:00 PM on pickup day
Where to take your waste
Main Transfer Station
Accepts household garbage, yard waste, and construction & demolition debris (Class III waste). Accounts can be established by calling the number above.
Wetappo Transfer Station
Accepted materials: municipal solid waste, C&D debris, asphalt/concrete, yard debris, scrap metal, appliances (refrigerant removed), and tires (no rims).

A $10.00 minimum charge applies. Payments accepted by debit card, credit card, or check.
Not accepted at either station: hazardous materials (batteries, automotive fluids, paint, chemicals), fluorescent light tubes and ballasts, biological or medical waste, empty hazardous material containers, and radioactive materials.
