    Gulf County Emergency Management is responsible for planning for emergency preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation efforts for all types of emergencies and disasters in Gulf County, Florida. It's the goal of this department and other agencies serving the county, that the general public, schools, businesses, agencies and all others will be better prepared in the event of an emergency or disaster.

    The Gulf County area has endured more than a few various and sundry different types of natural and man-made disasters and emergencies. Coordinated plans must be developed to prevent or mitigate the effects of disasters upon individuals primarily, and to protect the property of those individuals, secondarily.

    Being prepared for a disaster or emergency is a vital part of living on the Gulf Coast of Florida, and it is everyone's responsibility. Gulf County Emergency Management has a variety of publications, information and tools available to assist the residents of and visitors to Gulf County, Florida, in order that those individuals would be better prepared for the types of emergencies or disasters typical to the county.
