REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR
CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING AND INSPECTION
SERVICES FOR CR 386 SCOP AND PINEDA STREET SCRAP PROJECTS

The Gulf County Board of County Commissioners, herein referred to as the "County", is seeking statements of qualifications from Engineering Firms to provide CEI services which are required for contract administration, inspection, and materials sampling and testing for roadway improvements on CR 386 (Overstreet Road) and Pineda Street. The proposed scope of work will include a combination of milling, resurfacing, and the addition of paved shoulders along 19.5 miles of CR 386 from US 98 to SR 71 and approximately 0.47 miles of resurfacing along Pineda Street in St. Joe Beach. Engineering firms shall be FDOT qualified in Work Type 10.1: Roadway CEI.

RFQ DEADLINE: April 27, 2020 no later than 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time at Gulf County Clerk’s Office, 1000 Cecil G. Costin Sr. Blvd, Room 149, Port St. Joe, Florida 32456, and will be opened and read aloud at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners held in the Donald H. Butler Commissioner Chamber in the Robert M. Moore Administration Building, Gulf County Courthouse Complex, Port St. Joe, Florida at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time on April 28, 2020.

LATE SUBMITTALS RECEIVED AFTER THE AFOREMENTIONED DEADLINE DATE, EITHER BY MAIL OR OTHERWISE, WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AND WILL BE RETURNED UNOPENED. C.R. 387 GUARDRAIL REPLACEMENT

This project includes approximately 492 LF of guardrail removal, installation of 437 LF of TL-3 guardrail with 4 parallel end anchorage assemblies, and 320 LF of three-beam retrofit along C.R. 387 (Doc Whitfield Road) in Gulf County, FL.

Plans and Specifications can be obtained at Dewberry Engineers Inc, 324 Marina Drive, Port St. Joe, Florida 32456, (850) 227-7200. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes. Cost for Plans and Specifications will be $25.00 per set and is non-refundable. Completion date for this project will be 60 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $500.00 per day.

This project includes approximately 0.47 miles of roadway resurfacing of Pineda Street from US 98 to the end of pavement including striping, signs, and grassing. Project is located in St. Joe Beach in Gulf County, FL.
